Seafood Recipes

The gift from the sea, fresh fish. Is good all the days of the year when you want a change from meat. Seafood's provide a variety of nutritive factors , Rich in protein and , in some instances, in minerals and vitamins, they are a valuable addition to the diet, especially of the calorie conscious person. The composition and food value of seafood's vary according to the species and the locality where they are caught.

Fresh fish should br wrapped in moisture proof, air- tight material or placed in a container and stored in the refrigerator immediately.
If you intend to keep it for several days, freeze it in moisture vapor proof freeze bag or container. Properly wrapped and frozen. It will not spoil as long as it remains frozen solid. Once it has been thawed, do not refreeze. It should remain packaged and refrigerated while thawing. If you want to thaw it quickly, place it under cold running water.

Note: Fish........... Approximate Broiling Time
Fillets...................5 to 8 minutes on each side
Steaks.................5 to 8 minutes on each side
Dressed Whole...5 minutes per lb, each side
Split.....................5 to 8 minutes on each side
